3 Ingredient Apple Jam

3 Ingredient Apple Jam

It's doesn't get any easier than this…..And I love that it is reduced calorie too!

Ingredients:
2 Apples of your choice
3-4 Tablespoons Agave Nectar* (to taste)
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

3 Ingredient Apple Jam

Directions:
1. Core and dice apples (skin on or off – your choice)
2. Place apples in Food Processor and pulse until finely chopped (again your choice on consistency) – press any larger pieces from sides
3. Add in Agave Nectar and Chia Seeds – pulse just to mix
4. Place in jars and store in fridge for 2-3 weeks

That's It! The jam will gel up as the seeds swell. It is best is made the night before.

If you want to store the jam for a longer period, please refer to the “bath canning” method to seal the jars.

*Honey can be used in the place of Agave Nectar.

I love to try apple recipes with no sugar , as its really bad for me to eat sugar. I never use Chia seeds before, so I am anxious to try your jams recipes. One of my last memories with my 90+ father, I was making apple sauce following the directions. As I added the sugar call for, my dad said “hey! My mother made it with no sugar. Just the sweetness of the apples.” Well guess what ? He was right! I use sweet apples and it tasted so much better. Thanks for the information, Dad! See you in heaven , save me a place in the kitchen!!

Thanks for the recipe. I’ll just have to get Chia seeds since the other two ingredients I usually have on a regular basis.

My kids and I love anything to do with apples, always trying out new recipes. I love how this is so simple and can be used on so many things. I usually use cortland apples for everything. What kind of apples do you use when you make this? Are certain apples better than others for this recipe?

I used red delicious for this batch. My kids love the sour granny apples but I find them too tart for my taste. Of course you can use any kind of apple to make this yourself.
