3 Ingredient Cookies

3 ingredient cookie recipe

3 Ingredient Cookies

I don't know about your kids, but mine is quickly becoming a foodie like his parents! When I head to the kitchen, he asks what I'll be doing (because if it's dishes he won't bother me LOL) and can he help. Sometimes I have to say no, but other times, I try to find ways to make it work. So when I got this recipe for 3 Ingredient Cookies, I thought this could definitely be done with my little helper. Off he ran to get his step stool while I got us set up to bake.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter (chunky or smooth)
  • 1 Egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix ingredients in a large bowl
  3. Roll into bite size balls
  4. Place on greased cookie sheet
  5. Bake 8-10 minutes
  6. Use fork to flatten once removed from the oven

And that's it! Your little helpers should be able to help with almost every step, depending on their age and skill level.

Plus this is a great basic recipe that you could change up easily. For example:

  • Add mini chocolate chips
  • Roll the balls in sugar before baking
  • Add vanilla or almond extract to the dough

You can see my little guy had a good time baking with me. He had an even better time eating the cookies when his dad got home from work.

Do you have a recipe you could share, great for our little helpers? Share it below!

Hmm… these look yummy, easy, and dog-friendly! I might make these the next time I run out of dog treats and don’t feel like running out to the store, haha! Then we can both enjoy them 😉

The kids loved making them. They didn’t think it could be done with only three items. I gave them your instructions from here and they really liked them after the cookies were finished.

You can’t go wrong with peanut butter cookies! Only 3 ingredients is even better! I think I will have to try these.

These three ingredients cookies, sound great and super easy to make, I wonder how they would do with adding the chocolate peanut butter or almond butter I have both and I think that over the weekend I will experiment. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us, and I agree it is one that my grandchildren should be able to help make.

These look great and easy to make. This is something that a daycare should try as a special treat for the kids. They could learn to make and eat them at the same time!!

This is also low carb and gluten free if you substitute Splenda or stevia for the sugar. I’ve made it with Splenda before & it’s really good!

What a great idea! Having so few ingredients and simple measures means that the little rugrats won’t get bored or frustrated if I involve them, which I will. Thanks for the great idea!
