4 Minute Corn on the Cob
One of my favorite food during the summer months has to be corn on the cob. I could eat it several times a day and often do now that I have perfected the cooking it in the microwave!
Yep.. in the microwave..in the husk…without having to pull off all the silk stringy mess!
Ready for this?
Ingredients:
1 ear of unhusked corn (in other words – straight from the field or produce department)
Directions:
Place corn in microwave and cook on high for 4 minutes
Remove from microwave and place on cutting board (it’s hot – really hot)
Cut off the stem end at the area where it is the widest
Pick up corn by fringe end and gently shake to release corn
Add Salt, Pepper and butter before enjoying!
If you have more than a couple of ears to cook, this probably isn’t the quickest method.. oh but for just one or two.. yeah baby!

Cool! I will do this from now on. I made some yesterday and I am not sure if I didn’t cook it long enough in the oven or if the corn was bad…it was really hard and dry.
Sherryl Wilson says
If the corn is old you can try soaking it in water for just a few mins, then drain before putting in microwave. You can also extend the cooking time up to 5-6 mins for monster ears. 4 mins handles average size and fresh corn.

Cool, I will try this soon and see the results. Usually when we buy corn on the cob is a big box of about 43 to 50, at our local market. We put them to boil on a big long pot and enjoy them with mayo, cheese and chili pepper!
