Book Review ~ Reclaiming Love: Radical Relationships in a Complex World
Ajith Fernando’s book, Reclaiming Love: Radical Relationships in a Complex World is the latest book about 1 Corinthians 13 and how Christians can finds ways to apply the lessons in their daily lives and relationships. If you have attended many weddings, you have heard 1 Corinthians 13 is quoted. It is one of the most quoted “love chapter” in the Bible.
Fernando shares personal stories from people in his life as well as from his work war-torn Sri Linka. This will be a good book to have along with other resources in studying 1 Corinthians 13.
One thing that I appreciated in the book was that each chapter opened with a point on loving more fully and encouraged the reader to assess their own position and compare how things are to how things could be…then shares how to start to change if change is needed.
Some of the topics discussed are patience, kindness, envy, endurance and hope. These along with many other thought provoking points are brought up and examined.
I enjoyed this book as it does get you thinking about living and loving in ways that can make a difference in your life.
Thank you BookSneeze for asking me to review this book.

This book sounds a like a great read; especially if you need a little “help” with your relationship. We all go through trying times, and it is very important to not let them get the best of us and our relationships with other. “This too shall pass”; I always try to repeat that quote to myself when I’m feeling discouraged and like I want to give up. I think I’m going to try this book. Thanks for the review!

This sounds like a great book club book. I like being encouraged by the author to think more deeply about the topics and apply them to my own life.
