Carrot Crunching Dinosaur
Have you heard about the carrot crunching dinosaur? His name is Reginald but everyone calls him T. Veg.
Of course since dinosaurs don’t normally eat carrots and other vegetables, Reginald’s favorite foods soon start to cause him to feel different and isolated. He preferred eating broccoli, beans and other fresh veggies while the other dinosaurs ate steaks and lots of meat.
This book, T. Veg: The story of a carrot crunching dinosaur is a story about his adventures and finally accepted by his clan of dinosaurs.
Book Description:
Reginald’s a T. Rex just as fierce and ferocious as the rest: he’s got a mighty roar, gnashing teeth, and all the speed a dino could need.
But when it comes to mealtime, Reg would rather chow down on broccoli, beans, and greens than the juicy steaks his paleo pals prefer. When Reginald realizes how different he is from the others, he hopes to find a place to fit in among the herbivores. He excitedly strikes out in search of a new herd, only to scare away the other dinosaurs as he charges to greet them.
But when a falling boulder threatens the safety of Reg’s old T. Rex clan, he’ll show everyone what only a strong, vegetarian Tyrannosaurs rex can do. A celebration of vegetarianism, T. Veg is a rollicking laugh-out-loud tale about being yourself.
This book is over sized and packed full of beautiful graphics. It is rated for preschoolers but our tweens have enjoyed it too. You can’t help but laugh at Reginald’s antics as he tries to meet new friends.
It’s a cute story and the colors will draw your little ones into the story. Our little ones even asked for a dinosaur lunch! They had sliced carrots, red peppers and cucumbers. Crunch, crunch, crunch was the sound for lunch.
T. Veg: The story of a carrot crunching dinosaur was published by Abrams Books and is available on Amazon.
