Chicken and Apple Bites Using Chick-fil-A Nuggets

Let me start by saying these little bites of awesomeness will have you back in line at the buffet more times than you want to be seen!

Combing Chick-fil-A nuggets and your favorite apple creates an amazing one bite appetizer or snack that will surely please your crew.

Ingredients:
10 piece Chick-fil-A nuggets
2 Apples (your choice)
1 small onion
1 Red pepper (optional)
1 Yellow pepper (optional)
1 Stalk celery
2 boxes puff pastry shells

Directions:

  • Dice onion, peppers and celery before placing in skillet with a little butter and oil
  • Sautee until tender – set aside to cool
  • Dice nuggets and apples
  • Combine nuggets, apples and sautéed mixture together – salt and pepper to taste
  • Spread mixture out on oven proof pan and place under broiler.. AND WATCH IT! You want to brown the mixture and then stir up to brown other side. This doesn’t take but a couple of minutes on each side to DO NOT WALK AWAY!!!
  • Once mixture is nice and brown, remove from broiler and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil (totally optional depending on how soon you are eating these badboys!)
  • Place pastry shells on a serving and fill each with the combined mixture – Makes 30 one bite wonders

Had the opportunity to run to the store and get all the ingredients needed for this. They turned out great. My son love them and had a huge smile on his face.

These look so good! Do they sell Chick-fil-A at the grocery store frozen or do you have to go to the restaurant every time you make this?

Thanks so much for the Recipe on Chicken and Apple Bites Using Chick-fil-A Nuggets! These look really good! I would have never thought about making these! I am a little leary about apples in with the veggies, but it sure sounds different! I don’t like celery so I would have to leave them out and I only have green peppers in my pantry. I did save the recipe to give it a try sometime soon! Thanks so much for sharing this delicious recipe with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂

WOW!! Thanks for this! My kids love apples and basically the only meat they eat is chicken, so this would be a great combination of fruit and meat to cook up and feed them!! I think this is my new favorite site to try yummy different foods for me and my little family to start eating healthier again!!! Thanks so much! You rock!!
