Chicken Fajita Bites Using Chick-fil-A Nuggets

Do you like chicken fajitas? How about Chick-fil-A nuggets? You will love these little fajita bites!

Not only are they easy to make; they make a great one bite appetizer or snack.

Ingredients:
10 piece Chick-fil-A nuggets
1 small onion
1 Red pepper
1 Yellow pepper
1 Stalk celery
1 cup shredded cheese
1 package Chick-fil-A Lime Avocado Dressing
2 boxes puff pastry shells (serves 30)

Directions:

  • Dice onion, peppers and celery before placing in skillet with a little butter and oil
  • Sautee until tender – set aside to cool
  • Dice nuggets
  • Combine nuggets and sautéed mixture together – salt and pepper to taste
  • Place pastry shells on an oven safe dish and fill each with the combined mixture
  • Top with shredded cheese and place in broiler just until the cheese is melted
  • Move shells to serving platter and top with a dollop of Chick-fil-A Lime Avocado Dressing

Note:
These would also be easy to serve on a larger scale or as a meal by increasing the ingredient list and using flour tortilla wraps.

I like how you use 2 types of bell pepper — colorful and delicious! These would be so good with peppers fresh from the garden.

If you made these with tortillas or wraps, do you suggest rolling them like a burrito?

I would probably have to skip the avocado dressing. Not a fan of avocado.

These must smell delicious while cooking! Could you add a few slices of jalapeño pepper to make the fajitas a bit spicy?

I like how creative you are with this everyday product. Can you substitute the basic store brand chicken nugget for the chick-Fil-A ones?

Plus it’s a neat way to make a party finger food. Of course, my family would also enjoy the neat concept for supper just as much.

Do you find that the pastry shells are delicate enough that they break when biting into? I sometimes feel that cups like that are “tough” and hurt my gums to bit into them.

It depends on the brand and what is inside. I have found that it the filling is dry, the crust tends to be as well. This are paper thin shells so they are really tender.
