Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
These bad boys are not just chocolate chip cookies…
They are chocolate chocolate chip cookies! The best of both worlds with semi sweet and white chips combining together to make this one awesome cookie! When I am making them for the crew, I usually am on my third tray before I can see that we will have enough left to freeze or take to someone as a gift.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar *
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, room temp
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup White Chocolate Chips
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt
In your mixer or large bowl using hand held mixer, beat butter, both sugars and vanilla until creamy
Drop the eggs in the mixture one at a time, beating well after each
Slowly add the flour mixture and beat on low until well blended – (add slowly to avoid a white flour cloud all over your kitchen!)
Add chocolate chips and pulse or stir until mixed throughout batter
Scoop by rounded tablespoon to ungreased baking sheets – or parchment paper
Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or until nicely browned.
Cool on baking sheet for several minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely
These really are awesome cookies! You can add a cup of chopped nuts with the chips if you like nuts in your cookies.
* We often will use Splenda baking and Splenda dark sugars when making these cookies. They do not brown up as dark but that is the only difference we can see…they still get eaten just as fast!

Yum! These look mouthwatering! I would have to use white chocolate (which doesn’t include actual chocolate) and peanut butter chips for my husband. He’s allergic to chocolate….bummer. But peanut butter and white chocolate would still make a heck of a good combo! Thanks for sharing!

I had to smile when I saw your caution about avoiding the white flour cloud in the kitchen–we’ve all had that happen, and if you’ve cleaned up after it once, you’re careful not to do it again!

I LOVE chocolate chip cookies.
One of my favorite ways to make them is to replace about a half cup of the flour with the same amount of baking cocoa. Talk about WHOA chocolate!
The white chips would really look nice in that too!

My son loves chocolate chip cookies and I bet he would really like these. I don’t think he would like the white chocolate because he is picky that way, but I could use some unsweetened chocolate chips or just more semi-sweet. Thanks for the recipe, we will have to try making them soon.

I love making chocolate chip cookies. I make all mine in a silicone cupcake mold now. It leaves the sides crisp and the centers gooey.
