Cinnamon Raisin French Toast
My favorite quickie breakfast is French toast made with Panera Raisin bread. The cinnamon and the raisins just add so much yumminess to the meal!
Ingredients:
1 loaf Cinnamon Raisin Bread
8 eggs
¼ cup heavy cream or half n half
Salt, Pepper
Powdered Sugar
Syrup (optional)
Directions:
Slice Bread // 8-10 slices depending on how thick you like the slices.
In flat bottom baking dish, combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Wisk together until blended.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in skillet over medium heat.
Dip bread in egg mixture and place in skillet. Cook until nice and brown on both sides.
Remove to platter to serve with butter, powdered sugar or syrup.
Leftover slices freeze well – Just microwave until hot.
This cinnamon raisin french toast looks delicious! It’s funny–I’m not crazy about raisins, but I love raisin bread. I’d never have thought to use raisin bread for french toast, but it’s perfect!
My daughter would love this. Thank you for sharing.
