Crockpot Chicken and Noodles
This isn’t really a soup, but it isn’t just a chicken and noodle dish either. Think of it as a deluxe version of chicken and noodles casserole in a bowl. I like that it can all be tossed in the crock pot as we are heading out for morning errands knowing it will be ready when we return. It also works great for those homeschool field trips where you just never know when the kids will be ready to eat.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 large jar Chicken Gravy
1 can of Cream of Celery Soup*
1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup*
3 cups water
Salt, Pepper and Garlic Salt to taste
1 bag of Noodles (any style)
Garnish:
Shredded cheese, cream cheese or crushed crackers
Instructions:
Ready for these? Toss it all in the crockpot and cook on high until noodles are done!
Options:
Use fresh chicken (2 boneless breasts) and cook for 6-8 hours before adding noodles. You may need to add more water while cooking.

I love the recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup. How can you put the noodles in the crockpot with all the other ingredients and set on high to cook without the noodles getting mushy and falling apart? Every time I make something and put the noodles in it before it’s done, my noodles tend to get mushed together and fall apart. I have no idea why. So now, I cook all the other ingredients until done and I boil the noodles until they are done and right before we sit down to eat, I mix the noodles in with the other ingredients. I love homemade chicken noodle soup! I hate it out of a can! I really loved your recipe and think I’ll be trying it soon! It’s getting colder outside and we need the warmer foods now! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with all of us! I really do appreciate it! Thanks again, Michele 🙂
