Easiest Homemade Eggnog
Although I am not a big fan of eggnog, there are members of my crew that LOVE IT <insert eye roll>! And since you can’t find it except during the holidays but desire it throughout the year <insert another eye roll>; I developed a recipe that not only satisfies my crew but even I will drink it.
Ingredients:
2 beaten Eggs*
3 Tablespoons Sugar (or sweetener)
2.5 cups Milk (reg or low fat)
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 sprinkling of nutmeg
Directions:
Whisk all ingredients together
Store in refrigerator for up to one week
This makes about 3-4 mugs depending on your mug or MUG size!
Make sure you check out our other Eggnog posts:

*This post does contain raw eggs. If you prefer to cook your eggs before using, just search for cooked eggnog recipes.

With the price of eggnog at $4 and over a qt, this is a way to satisfy an expensive holiday tradition.
How wonderful.
My husband absolutely lives for when eggnog is in “season”. He loves the stuff. I have never made homemade eggnog though. I just might have to do this to keep his taste buds going.
I love eggnog, and buy it regularly. I didn’t realize it was so easy to make! I will try this
Wow thats an amazing way to make eggnog. i alway end up buying expensive eggnog from the market and spending money. now i can easily make one at home and i like all the ingredients and i believe home made eggnogs are more fresh and pure than the canned ones.
I completely agree about the eggnog. I really don’t like it but my family will go for it any time. I’m all for finding a recipe that can be reproduced the rest of the year and it doesn’t have a lot of the yuck that anything on the store shelf usually does.
Pretty cool I always wondered how to make eggnog from scratch
It is a great way to save money. Plus you can adjust it for your taste.
When I seen this post on eggnog I had to read the recipe. I had tried eggnog some years back, and I liked the taste. Recently I had been looking at recipes on eggnog because I wanted to see about making some but every recipe I looked at it called for some type alcohol in it, and I didn’t want one with alcohol; I have been free from alcohol/drinking for a little over two years. I am so glad to see this recipe. Thank you for this recipe; I am definitely going to try it.
I will certainly have to try this!
I do not drink eggnog but my son is visiting and he absolutely loves eggnog. I wil make this for him to surprise him. I do believe this recipe is easy enough for even me to make.
I will need to try this out!
I cannot go without eggnog during the holidays. Sadly, I’m pregnant so eating raw eggs is out of the question unless I find a recipe that makes it with them cooked.

There are several recipes that require cooking. It’s not like you are scrambling them, just heating enough to sterilize them.
