Eggs in the Oven

Eggs in the Oven

Did you know that you can bake whole eggs in the oven? I have to admit I had never thought about it until someone asked me on another article. So here it goes…

Eggs in the Oven

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325

Place eggs in muffin pan and back for 25 minutes

Remove from muffin pan and process as usual

Little Ryan loves to watch things bake!

Pretty easy!  I pulled one egg out at the 20 minute mark to check it. If you are looking for an egg to enjoy on a sandwich or to dip your toast.. perfect! White was soft but done and yellow was thick but runny…sort of like an over medium fried egg.

**  Notes:  If you let the eggs come to room temp, they will not get the little brown spots. Has nothing to do with the flavor, but where there was moisture on the egg. I wiped them off on the second batch, same issue. Third batch was allowed to come up in temp and no spots!

I’ve got to try this! It definitely saves having to put water into a pot.

I think I read about this somewhere–I have never tried it and really should–25 minutes for a hard boiled egg–I just like peeling them and eating them!!

We baked eggs this way before coloring them for Easter last year. We had some little brown spots but nothing that would really take away from the colored eggs. I love how convenient it is to bake them!

Thanks for the tip! Are they still easy to peel after they hit room temp?
