Feeding Baby {Review}
If you have been around little ones for any time at all, you understand how frustrating it can be to get them to eat. Thankfully, out of seven children only one is a really picky eater.
Now my grandchildren seem to be another story all together. They give their parents a hard time at almost every meal. I can’t wait to share this book with them. This book shares Simple Approaches to Raising a Healthy Baby and Creating a Lifetime of Nutritious Eating.
It isn’t just another cookbook for children. This was more of a training manual for parents on how to encourage little ones to not only eat, but to experience the process. And no, I don’t mean just play in their food!
What I mean is that as a parent, I have always offered a large variety of healthy food but allowed them to pick what they wanted to eat. Yes, at times it may have been more work on my part, but having a large family I wanted to take personal preferences into account at the dinner table. I believe that offering your children healthy choices allows them to develop their palate. We also have the polite bite rule which means if you take something on your plate, you must take a bite. You do not have to eat it all, but you need to be polite to the person who took the time to make it.
My favorite page in the Feeding Baby book was the 100 Ways to Serve 10 Fruits & Vegetables.. the book is worth buying JUST for this alone!
