Think about something that you use all the time and wonder how you ever lived without it? I have several items that come to mind, and the Google Chromecast Audio is currently topping the list!
The Google Chromecast Audio plays your music over your speakers. It works on both new speakers and more importantly to me, the older models (we have a combination of new and older stereo equipment). Because the Chromecast Audio uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, your music can be streamed wirelessly from your phone, laptop or tablet. And the sound is amazing!
The ability to use the Google Chromecast Audio with our older speakers has brought them back to life. Now we can enjoy music from our surround system and not be limited to our physical stash of cds.
If you know me and how limited my technical skills are, you know that the Google Chromecast Audio has to be easy to setup if I can do it. From plugging in to dancing in the living room took about five minutes top.
It does help that the directions walk you through each step and a good bit of it is automated.
Now I will admit that I asked for help getting the various speakers setup around the house. You have to group your Chromecast Audio devices together and then you can listen to the same song on multiple speakers. It reminds me of a house intercom system we had when I was growing up.
