Heath Bar Dessert Topping

Heath Bar Dessert Topping

Heath Bar Dessert Topping

Heath candy bars are one of my favorite treats. When I discovered the Heath Baking Chips I was one happy momma! Don’t tell anyone but I keep baking chips in the pantry for those times when I need a chocolate fix. For some reason the guys think baking chips are not the same as regular chocolate so they are always ready for me to grab a handful.

I like to sprinkle the chips over ice cream, brownies..ok just about anything! While making a soufflé the chocolate sauce was burned and the only other chocolate in the house were my treasured Heath chips.

Now… we have another amazing dessert topping!

Heath Bar Dessert Topping

Ingredients:
3 ounces half and half or heavy whipping cream
1 bag Heath candy baking chips

Directions:

Place cream in small pan and heat on low just until it starts to bubble (don’t boil it).
Remove pan from burner and pour in the chocolate chips
Whisk until the chocolate is melted. The toffee chips will not dissolve.
Serve over.. right.. just pass a spoon please!

This can be stored in an airtight container for quick snack bites or you can warm it in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time.

I remember trying the chips before and they were delightful. I misread the title though and thought it was Health bar topping. One can only hope!

Didn’t know you could find Heath Bar Toppings until I saw this blog. I found them at my local store. I put it in brownies when baking and on top of ice cream or sometimes just eat them out of the bag.
