Looking for a particular form? Need something to just kick-start your thought process? One of the wonderful things about homeschooling is the open sharing of thoughts, plans, forms and experiences.
While there are times when I have to just sit down and “create” exactly what I need for my family, often I can find something that “worked” for another family. Searching for free printables will have you shaking your head! Choices, choices and more choices!
I have found this site to be one of the best starting points… This is where I start when looking for just about anything printable…. Practical-homeschooling
That said, don’t be afraid to take a little of this and a little of that from different sites and forms to create your own. We have at times needed up to seven student columns or as few as two. I love the planners from the larger families as they usually include more space and suggestions for sibling working together, but as we move out of the homeschooling season with our last two children, I find I don’t need to carry a three-ring binder for my lesson plans! Just kidding…
One year I created our own planner and was able to include all the “special” fields, forms and columns. So while there may not be the perfect planner for your season…..there are tons that are workable. You never know, you may create just the form that changes how we all look at planners!
