Looking for a new domain name? Perhaps you own a .com now… buying the .net, .org, .us is one way to grab traffic for your site that otherwise might be missed. Another thing to consider is if your domain name is one that could easily be misspelled or confused with another that is similar. Purchase the “wrong” spellings and redirect that traffic to your site. Take my name for example… how many ways can you spell it?
A really popular option is to research things that are trending or related to your site and are being searched on Google. If you purchase the domain name for that name/item you can grab all of those searches to your site.
So then the trick is to purchase the domains at the lowest possible price. Right now, Go Daddy is promoting $2.49 for .com domains through 5/14/2013! It isn’t often that you will find a lower price than this for domain names…
