Lessontrek For My Homeschool Lesson Plans

Lessontrek For My Homeschool Lesson Plans

Being a homeschool mom, I'm always looking for a way to keep my family's “school stuff” straight. Recently, I started using Lessontrek for my homeschool lesson plans and I can't say enough great things about it!

My struggle is keeping each subject and assignment straight, not only for my student but for myself! What I love about Lessontrek is it's web based, so I can access it from home or anywhere else I have an internet connection (big plus for us homeschoolers). Also, I can enter each subject, and each assignment the same day, week, or even year ahead of time. By using a separate entry for each student, plus color coding each subject, I can visually see what lessons are going to be covered for the day/week and plan accordingly.

I don't have multiple users right now, but I enjoyed the fact that I can set up additional students with just a few clicks and pieces of information. That way, I can move through each child's school work easily instead of having to shuffle through papers or a spreadsheet. And I can enter as many or few details for each subject or assignment as needed for that particular entry. Currently, I use this more like a reminder to myself for how much time to budget, supplies I'll need, and if I need to be sitting with my student for each subject or just here and there.

Lessontrek also allows me to enter grades for each assignment so I can keep track as I am finished grading. Plus I can click and drag repeating subjects or assignments from one day/week to the next. And when we go on vacation to the cabin in the middle of nowhere without internet? I can just print our lesson plans ahead of time and take them with us!

You can also enter your own school year, based on how your family schools whether it's traditionally (fall-spring) or only the fall and winter, etc. The built in calendar lets you scroll and click to set each section of your school year.

It really couldn't be easier to use Lessontrek for my homeschool lesson plans, from the color coded students and subjects, to the copy/paste feature built right in. Perfect for us with a single student, but an even better product with multiple students in the home. I can't wait to see what new features they will roll out next!

You can check out for yourself, and find out more information about them on Facebook and Twitter. And right now, Lessontrek is offering my readers 50% off the ! Use code: JULY50BLUE for 50% off of the 1-year subscription. Offer ends July 30th.

Disclosure:I was sponsored by Lessontrek to review their homeschool lesson planning tool and am excited to share my experience as well as an awesome giveaway!  All opinions are mine alone.  This is a sponsored post. The company who sponsored it compensated me in some form of payment. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Homeschool doesn’t work for me, but I commend the parents who do make it work for them.
