Math Made Simple – A Review

Math Made Simple:

A Review

Review of Math Made Simple

I recently was given the opportunity to review a math program called Math Made Simple. Not only is this software super simple to use, it is a wonderful tool for refining specific skills in the basic areas of math.

According to the Math Made Simple website, their approach is simple straight forward math concepts. They offer clear, concise descriptions and workable math problems.

The math lessons found here include an explanation of the concepts, detailed step by step solutions to example questions and also review questions (with explained solutions) for you to do on your own.

I found their explanations thorough and complete with visual details.  The instructor explained the problems from concept to completion. The examples were varied enough that the student using the software would have a solid foundation for each course of study.

As a parent, it was nice that the entire course was included in the package purchased.  From my student’s position, they thought it moved too quickly through the lesson. You do however, have the option available to stop or pause the lesson at any place and start again. There is a great deal of information covered in a short period of time!

I have two students in the Algebra 1 level. One of them loved it, the other was a little overwhelmed at the pace of the material. Once the second student started pausing between examples she was able to keep up and understand it completely.

I would recommend Math Made Simple to students that are looking for a straight forward focused math curriculum. This software does not contain all the bells and whistles that the majority of packages offer. Depending of the learning style of the student, this might be a great thing or a distraction.

Overall, they are offering a unique approach to a subject that has been a challenge to many students. This product does come through as their name promises….Math Made Simple!

We are pretty new homeschoolers and my son struggles a little with math. Anything that could help is worth a try!

This is awesome, today it’s very hard for us as grandparents and even some parents to help the kids with math because we never had some of this stuff before.
