Let me tell you something that most people don’t know about me.

I used to be a competitive ballroom dancer. I love to dance! I haven’t competed in over 20 years but I still love to watch the competitions on TV. And of course I dance around the house with the little ones!

I was recently offered the opportunity to try the Merengue Dance DVD from SalsaCrazy.com and I had high hopes of gathering the family together for lessons… yeah, if you know my crew you are falling out of your seats about now.

It wasn’t as bad as you might think. We had so much fun laughing and being silly as we learned the basic steps. The Merengue Dance DVD has instruction for all levels from Beginning all the way to Advanced.

I like that the DVD covers all levels and can be used many times before you learn all the steps. It will get you started when you have no idea what you are doing and teach you everything you need to know along the way. The Merengue music is awesome and it will have you moving and excited right away. You won’t be able to wait to get on the dance floor.

The directions are broken down simply for men and women. Every step is demonstrated in detail and you get to see it from different angles and even close ups to get a better look at the steps. If you have never danced a day in your life or if you are a pretty good dancer, this DVD is perfect for you. I was comfortable learning a new dance because the Merengue Dance DVD makes everything so simple to understand and follow.

I don’t know if I am quite ready for an audience, but I definitely gained a lot of knowledge and some confidence in my dancing abilities. I will continue to learn the Merengue in the privacy and comfort of my own home and I definitely would suggest this DVD to anyone who wants to learn or brush up on the Merengue as well.
