My Thoughts:
My tween has enjoyed using this Bible by Faith Gateway. He loves polar bears and penguins and both are throughout the pages. His favorite parts are the Words of Wisdom and the introduction for each of the books in the Bible. The introduction explains who wrote the book, why the book was written, what is special about the book, when it was written, and what chapters have special details about the author or story that should be focused on while reading.

Both the Bible and the Devotional would make great study companions for tweens and teens that want to spend time in the Word.
