November BlogHer Writing Challenge
Day 1
Today starts a new month and a new writing challenge for the BlogHer Bloggers. I have taken this challenge on! Here we go….
Each weekday we receive a “writing prompt” or question we have to answer for our readers. Yeah, I can hardly wait!
Monday, November 3 ~
Write about an amazing imaginary brand or organization you’d love to work with. What would their pitch to you look like? What would your post say?
This is an easy one for me. My dream offers would have to be either a kitchen or landscape makeover for our home. Either would make me smile for years!
Our house was built in the mid-70’s and we still have the original just about everything in the kitchen, at least what was built in such as cabinets and counter tops. The appliances have been replaced a couple of times and we now have a monster side by side stainless LG unit that honestly..needs a bigger kitchen to house it! This bad boy was such an awesome deal that there was no way we could walk away without making the purchase. However, it would not fit through the doorway to the kitchen and sat in the living room for weeks before it was taken apart and shoved into the kitchen. And yes, I would include the repairs to the doorway in the kitchen makeover lol.
As far as the landscape…um anything would be an amazing improvement. Again mostly from age and settling over the last 40 some odd years. The driveway needs replacing along with the porch and sidewalks. Our driveway is an at home treadmill! You can get a work out just walking to the street and back a couple of times.
So, yes I would be over the moon with either a kitchen or landscape makeover from a sponsor. Not only would I become their biggest fan on social media, I would be writing about the day to day progress for all my readers to see. Their name would be a common word in our home for years.
But back to reality, we live in an older home that has served our large family of nine very well. We at one point, had eleven people living here. This house has been so full of love that it will be extremely hard to entertain the thought of downsizing in a couple of years when we are empty nesters. I am kind of hoping that one of the children will make us an offer to purchase the house.
Today’s post is Day 1 of a month long group blogger challenge.
