Papaw and Ryan

Papaw and Ryan

Today the girls were off for a homeschool day at Kings Island Amusement Park. Little Ryan and Granma had a morning planned full of errands, visiting and a stop at the park….then the phone rang…

Papaw was home for the day and invited us out to brunch! The Ryan and Papaw duo had me laughing throughout the morning.

We met up with Papaw at the Colonial Cottage Restaurant. Ryan wanted a Reuben sandwich because papaw was eating one. Surprisingly he loved it. Beef Barley soup, sandwhich and fry fries are goooot granma, per Ryan!

Once we were home, the duo decided my tomato plants were “hungertry” and need “warter” to drink. Ryan “wartered” EVERYTHING in the front of the house… including the empty pots and weeds.

I laughed at these two chatting while working. It was an uplifting moment as they don't often spend time together.

After all the hard work outside, the guys decided it was time for Papaw to take a nap since he had to go to work tonight and Ryan was going to “rest” (as in…don't use the nap word please) while granma worked in her office.

It was sweet watching the two of them work. They talked and talked about the plants and how much water they needed. Ryan did not accept that the plants drank the water. “If they are hungertry…they should eat it papaw” LOL  Gotta love the thought processes of a three year old!
