Saffron Road Foods

Saffron Road World Cuisine Sponsors #MomBlogTourFF

Let me introduce you to Saffron Road World Cuisine. They are one of our Sponsors on the upcoming #MomBlogTourFF to the Specialty Food Summer Fancy Food Show.

Based off a way of life through trade down the Silk Road and a man’s vision to give the people of America a greater sense of humanity and cultural foods, Saffron Road Foods rocketed into the spotlight for “frozen entrees.”

I may have lost you at frozen entrees, but Founder and CEO Adnan Durrani turned his passion for ethical consumerism into a business that encompasses flavors, foods, and high quality ingredients that many people aren’t used to eating. Truthfully, in America many cultural foods are blended. Nothing is truly ethnic and always a little Americanized to be sure it sells. Saffron Road Foods successfully introduced more than 50 products to grocery stores around the nation inspired by these locations:

  • India
  • Morocco
  • The Middle East
  • Northern Africa
  • Mexico
  • Korea

Let’s talk about high quality ingredients because Saffron Road Foods has a natural, more nomadic approach, to food production. You won’t find harsh chemicals used in their livestock like synthetic hormones or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. These animals are grass-fed and humanely raised going back to the heavy Silk Road influence on this business. Best of all, Saffron Road Foods is Certified Gluten Free with some products being Non-GMO Project Verified. To further promote the sense of cultural understanding and appreciation, all foods are Certified Halal.

Saffron Road Foods isn’t all about frozen entrees, although convenient and well received by consumers, you can also purchase a wide range of products as well as flavors:

  • Appetizers
  • Wraps
  • Simmer Sauces
  • Broths
  • Snacks
  • Desserts

There is something for every member of the family, even chicken nuggets! You can find out more about their products (complete with allergen information) on their website: Saffron Road Foods. Connect with them on social media for fun facts, giveaways, recipe ideas, chats, and charity opportunities. You can find Saffron Road Foods on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Lemongrass Basil Slow Cooker Chicken

So far, my favorite simmer sauce is the Lemongrass Basil. We tossed three pounds of chicken legs, a can of chicken broth, a bag of sweet whole peppers, one onion and a package of the simmer sauce into a slow cooker and cooked on medium all day. Oh my word.. it is wonderful!

I like that it is appealing to people that are not used to “ethnic” foods, however I am not sure that I would like that about it.

I love the variety of foods that Saffron Road makes. It’s so nice to not have to be able to have Indian food when I feel like it and not have to make it myself.
