Sriracha Refrigerator Pickles

Sriracha Refrigerator Pickles

Sriracha Refrigerator Pickles

Listen up..these are addictive! You have been warned. LOL.. They are also HOT but you will not be able to stay out of them! Crazy, I know..but so true. These Sriracha Refrigerator Pickles are easy to make and are great as jar gifts.

Ingredients:
1 16 ounce jar of pickles (spears or chips)
4 Tablespoons sugar (or sweetener)
2-3 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce (depends on the heat preference)
2-3 Tablespoons Red Pepper Flakes (depends on the heat preference)

Directions:
Open the pickle jar and pour off about half the liquid into a bowl
Combine the sugar or sweetener, Sriracha sauce and Red Pepper Flakes with the liquid removed from jar
Pour the liquid back into the jar
Seal lid on jar tightly and shake jar well
Place jar in refrigerator and try to stay out of it for at least a couple of hours

Enjoy! The longer the pickles are in the juice, the hotter they will become. If they get too hot, pour off half the liquid and replace with water to dilute the seasonings.

My crew like both plain and spicy pickles so we purchase a monster jar of plain and use some of these to make our own spicy pickles. As they eat the spicy ones, they move more over from the plain jar.

I have never heard of pickles being made like this~ I have had friends that made homemade pickles from scratch using fresh Pickles right out of the garden! As A rule I don’t like a lot of the homemade pickles I have tried My One friend Barbara was the only one that could make homemade pickles that I liked! They were mildly Hot and I loved them!! I would Honestly say I probably would like your recipe!! maybe because you are just adding spices to a jar of pickles that are already made!! I do love pickles Dill. Kosher Dill. Sweet & Bread & Butter Pickles… Thankyou for sharing your Recipe!! :0)~~~~

These sound delicious!! Unfortunately, I cannot eat spicy food anymore. So I could only enjoy the plain pickles. 🙁
