Surviving The Holi-Daze {Review}
While going through a divorce is devastating, being in the middle of one over the holidays can be almost too much to bear.
WELCOME TO SURVIVING THE “HOLI-DAZE” by Faydra Koenig
Managing the holidays is hard enough without the added stress of dealing with a divorce. Not only are you trying to deal with a lot of emotional stress, you are also juggling new financial independence, including paying out or relying on support payments, splitting your time with and without your children and wondering how the heck you are supposed to feel in the holiday spirit when your life is in chaos.
According to Faydra, surviving the holi-daze requires a Survival Plan. In her online community, she addresses issues such as:
Dealing with your Emotions
Your Finances
Dealing with your Ex
Your Children
Your Loneliness
I did like her no nonsense approach to things. She doesn’t sugar coat anything! If you are looking for someone to just agree with you or make you feel better… this probably isn’t the program for you. However, if you are ready to face your challenges head on..you may find this program helps you gather your thoughts and make a plan to get moving in the right direction.
She is right on one point… No one hands out instructions on how to put your life back together following a divorce. And sadly, divorce is reaching through all the barriers on all levels… Once I got into her program, I got to thinking about couples that I know of that are on the verge of divorce. It brings me to tears knowing the pain and suffering they are facing.
This program consists of several video lessons and each session has a tip sheet of helpful information. I found the tips and suggestions great for anyone to use. Such as how to save money, learning what your triggers are and how to avoid them are just a couple of her nuggets of wisdom. Good advice for all of us!
