Valentine’s Day Sweets & Treats
Don’t let it sneak up on you…Valentine’s Day is coming soon!
Have you made your plans? If going out, make sure you remember to book your sitter in advance. If going away for the night, search for last minute deals on local attractions. Whether you go all out or plan a quiet evening at home, the day is for showing love to your special person.
At our house, we usually order curbside pickup at my favorite place, Outback Steakhouse! Hubster makes the pick up while I set the table. This year hubster has to work so we will be a day late in celebrating but that is actually the norm for our house. We don’t feel the need to celebrate on the exact date, just as long as we can spend some alone time together.
To get your thoughts on celebrating Valentine’s Day, I grabbed a couple of fun posts from my blogger friends to share with you. If you are planning a special day with the family, make up one or both of these yummy deserts. There is also a great, easy DIY Valentine’s Day gift that you can make for your children. Rainbow or Crazy Loom band bracelets are definitely the rave right now.

These both sound so delicious! I love Samoa anything and I can remember when my grandmother use to make us pineapple upside down cake. I don’t have her recipe but I wonder if your would be similar.

I bake so everyone expects cupcakes from me for Valentines Day. I’ve been working on some new ideas for next week.
