Weekend Trips
Is your calendar filling up at an alarming rate for 2015? We were looking for a two week window for our family vacation and it looks like October 2015 might be the first open time frame and even that is iffy since we have a new grand baby coming in late September. We love to plan quick weekend trips for our family. The “rules” are pretty simple when it comes to planning these getaways:
- Must be within 5-6 hour drive from home.
- Ideal to leave by Friday afternoon and check into our hotel by bedtime.
- Must have several activities to choose from in case of bad weather and ages of our family members.
- Inexpensive dining options OR lodging that includes a small kitchen set up for us to make our own meals.
