What’s for Dinner?

August 17, 2012 SimplySherryl Leave a Comment

The weather this morning reminded me of a damp, cold winter morning. Stew was the first thing that came to mind. It may have had something to do with the fact that I had purchased stew beef yesterday…but had planned on making beef tips with noodles.

Instead, out comes the crock pot for an easy meal for an army!

Starting with the basic Veggie Crock Soup –  I floured and browned the stew beef chunks in canola oil until dark and crispy. Remember you are not cooking them, just browning them. They will finish cooking in crock.

Tossed all in the crock pot and flipped on high!  Dinner done…

Serve with warm bread and maybe some sliced fresh tomatoes from the garden. Yummers yummers
