Your Year for Change {Review}

In the book Your Year for Change – 52 Reflections for Regret-Free Living by Bronnie Ware shares 52 ways you can start living in such a way as to leave no regrets. Suggestions include things like Being Flexible, Acknowledging Death and Appreciating a New Day.

Each weekly topic is presented in a devotional format with a little explanation followed by ways to put this new knowledge into action during the upcoming week.

This portion touched my heart…

Life is about learning and loving…

Regret is a painful, self-condemning place…

We need to move on to a more gentle position of acceptance, kindness, and love

We have all had someone pass away or a friendship end where we found ourselves wanting to be able to visit just one more time. What would you say if you had one more time? The lesson is to say it now, be there now, never let things go that need to be cleared up.

Most importantly, live in the moment! Then you will have nothing to regret.

Book Description:

Having spent several years listening to, and then writing about, the regrets of dying people, Bronnie Ware understands the importance of acknowledging death and finding the courage to live a happy and authentic life in the meantime.

In this tender yet influential collection, Bronnie Ware shares 52 inspiring stories, woven among observations from her daily life, strengthening you with the values needed for regret-free living. You can read one story a week or read them all right through. Either way, Bronnie’s ability to open your eyes to new perspectives will also open your heart to new strengths and dreams. Your Year for Change is a gentle and powerful book that will leave you determined to embrace your life, forgive your past, honor your heart, and create a regret-free future of happiness and wonder.

I enjoyed reading this book as it served as a reminder to always pay attention and to live in the here and now. Let go of the past and never let a moment pass that you would have reason to regret later.

Your Year for Change will be available in early October ,2014 on Amazon and through your local book stores.
