Brownies In A Jar

Brownies In A Jar

Brownies In A Jar

Brownies have always been a dessert saved for holidays around our house. Until now! These Brownies In A Jar are just too easy to make..and taste almost too good to give away.

Do yourself a favor and double or triple the following recipe. Once you make these brownies, you will want to line your pantry shelves with jars ready to use. You have been warned!

Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose Flour
1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
1.5 cups sugar
1⁄3 cup Cocoa
1.5 cups Peanut Butter or White Chocolate Chips (or combo)
1⁄2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Wisk together in a large bowl the flour, baking powder and salt.
Slowly start layering the ingredients in the Mason Jar – sugar, cocoa, flour mixture, chips (peanut butter, white or chocolate)
Gently tap the jar on the counter to settle each layer or press down with smaller jar or press
Seal jar with lid and band

Create a tag with the following directions:

Combine 1 stick melted butter and 2 beaten eggs in a large bowl
Mix in contents of jar
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes in a greased 9×9 baking dish

Allow to cool before removing from pan

I love this recipe for Brownies in a Jar as a gift! I did this one year, a long time ago. I made cookies in a jar with a tag w/instructions and all! I probably should do something like this again for my neighbors this year, since I haven’t baked 1 cookie yet! I’m just not in the Christmas mood this year! I haven’t cleaned up or got any of our decorations down yet! My husband reminded me last night that I only had 2 weeks to get everything done. I was like oh well, if it gets done, it gets done! Thanks for this wonderful recipe to put into a jar! I love it! Thanks again, Michele 🙂

My youngest loves to cook and make things at home with mommy. So this would be an excellent recipe for us to make. Plus it sounds like it is delicious!
