College Survival Kit
Heading off to college is exciting and terrifying at the same time. Oh the thoughts of freedom and being on your own combined with the fear of all the freedom and being on your own can be overwhelming. To make life a little more comfortable and share some hometown love, we have been putting together care packages for the teens of our friends as they set off on the adventure of their lives.
Now when you think of a care package, especially for a girl..What is one thing you can't leave out? Yep, Chocolate and Fruit Snacks of course!
Next on our list were the personal care goodies that can run short on supply when away at college such as their Schick® Hydro Silk disposable razors and extra Schick® Hydro Silk blades. Knowing most college students tend to run short on cash, comfort items like their favorite disposable razors become even more important.
Next up on our list of care items were other personal grooming products such as Dental Picks, Shaving Cream and Deodorant. These all go a long way on keeping our girls fresh and clean.
Rounding out our care package are Band Aids, Pain Reliever, Disinfecting Wipes, and Wet Wipes.
Our care packages are prepared in love and with the desire to let them know that we are thinking about them. We understand the challenges they will be facing over the next couple of years and just want them to have some of the comforts of home to support and give them encouragement.
Little things like their favorite disposable razor can go a long way in providing comfort. Several of the girls all said they loved the Schick® Hydro Silk because of the curve sensing head which saves their knee caps and ankles from nicks. I would agree that saving knee caps and ankles was important!
It was priceless listening to them call to thank us for their package. I think the chocolate was gone before the phone call was finished but hey, that's the joy of having treats delivered out of the blue. I reminded the girls about saving money and shared a coupon with them from Walmart on the Schick® Hydro Silk disposable razors and blades.
I am looking forward to sending many more care packages this year. Knowing that we are supporting and encouraging the college students in our circle of friends is heart warming. Our last two children leave for college in the spring. I am looking at this round of care packages as warm ups for the years coming up for me.
