Orange Peel Mask

Orange Peel Mask
Did you know that orange peels have been used for hundreds of years in skin care products? This Orange Peel Mask is a wonderful cleansing agent for all types of skin. It makes a wonderful jar gift too!

Ingredients:
4-5 Oranges
1 Airtight Jar for storing powder

Directions:
Making your base powder is easy, simply:

~ Scrub the outside of your oranges with soap and rinse well
~ Using your vegetable peeler or small paring knife, slice off the peeling and place on a large baking sheet in single layer
~ Place baking sheet in oven set on 200 degrees until completed dried
~ Toss dried orange peels in the food processor and pulse until you have a fine powder
~ Store orange powder in an air tight container for up to three months

To use the powder as a facial mask combine:
~ 2 tablespoons of milk with 1 tablespoon of Orange Peel Powder and work it with the back of your spoon until it forms a smooth paste.
~ Spread the paste on your face and neck with your finger tips (or with a brush).
~ Allow it to dry and then rinse with warm water (great to apply just before getting in the shower and then rinsing).
~ Repeat once or twice a week for healthy looking skin.

Your skin will feel so soft and smooth after using this orange peel mask. Bonus is that it smells wonderful when using!

I love doing masks and this is such a great idea! I love the mixture of milk and orange peel powder. I’m sure the Vitamin C would be helpful too. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

I like the idea of making your own products. It is safer and much cheaper. I was just at Lush today at the mall and could not believe the prices. The scents were so good thought. I will give it a try
