Our Family’s Formula for Happiness

Life with a two year old takes on new meaning when you add a blessed little girl that insisted on making her arrival several weeks early.

Little Miss Allie tossed our entire family for a loop with her entrance and time spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. The first week of her life was so hard as we held on to our faith and rode the roller coaster of emotions that come with a sick child.

Thankfully, she is now a healthy and happy four month old that loves to give kisses!

Now life is a series of laughs and tears (toddler's have such a hard life). Our Family's Formula for Happiness is in finding a routine that works. Oh, how the books tell you to do this and that in order to have peace in your home. We have found that there is no right or one way that works in every home. There is whatever makes the ones that live in our home happy that works for us.

Lots of loving, laughing and enjoying the up and downs of a growing family. We have nightly bedtime routines and are working on getting our days on a schedule too. Right now, our happiness comes from having two healthy and happy children.

Our Family's Formula for Happiness would have to be to appreciate the little things in life and don't let the big things become overwhelming. Enjoy spending time just snuggling and loving on your little ones because they grow up to fast.
