The Most Hashtagged Cities On Instagram
If you spend any time on Instagram, you quickly learn that it's all about the hashtags. I have to laugh at some of them but admit that there are some that are pretty funny. In a recent study by “Hashtag the World“, the Big Apple (NYC) had 68+ million hashtagged posts in 2016. This is an increase of over 79 percent compared to the previous year. The #NYC hashtag was used 55,190 times on average each and every day in 2016. How about your favorite city? Did it rank in 2016?

I can't imagine how far down the list my little city of 24,000 people would be and the closest major city is Cincinnati and it didn't make the list either.
Looking over the list, I have visited number 1, 6, 7, 9, 13, 19, 21, 22, 24, 28, and 29. There are several other cities on the list that I would love to visit and spend a couple of weeks touring around….using the appropriate hashtag of course!
Hmm, I’ve only been to 4 of them. I must need more stamps in my passport.
