DIY Bread Cones
These are just too cute and so easy to make…but I will warn you about them. They are so addictive!
Ingredients:
2 Tubes of Refrigerator Bread (here you can play with the difference dough until you find your favorite)
10-12 Paper Plates or Metal Cones if you just happen to have them in your supply closet
1 egg
Non Stick Spray
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
If using paper plates shape by rolling until you get the cone shape. Staple to hold in place and cover with foil
I like to use Croissant rolls but Pizza dough and of course a made from scratch bread dough will do if you have all day
Roll out the dough and wrap your cones so that the dough touches as you wind around the cone (that easy)
Brush the cones with an egg wash (1 egg + 2 teaspoons water mixed)
Place on baking dish and bake until golden brown ( about 16-20 mins)
Remove from heat and sprinkle with anything you want such as sea salt, poppy seeds, sugar/cinnamon, etc
Remove the cones and GENTLY stuff with chicken or tuna salad or your favorite treat
There is no right or wrong way to make these.. if they look funny or have gaps between the wraps, who cares? Have fun and let the little ones help in the kitchen with these fun to make and eat Bread Cones!

What a clever idea!! I just had to pin this!! I love that you can make a few different bread cone shapes for any different creation you are in the mood for. This is what I call FUN food. Kids are inclined to eat it then. They love to play with their food anyway 🙂

These are so cute and they sound delish. I can’t wait to try the recipe at home. I love to cook lately I’ve been doing homemade bagels. They’re so much better than the store bought ones and I can make them the flavors I want. I think these sound somewhat similar to bagels so yum I can’t wait to try them.
