Phil Wickham Children of God CD Review

The latest release of Phil Wickham is the CD Children of God. He has one of those special voices that reaches out an touches you. His vocal quality is one that you instantly recognize when you hear it. It has been a couple of years since the last album. Health issues required that Phil walk away from singing for a while.

I for one, am glad he was able to have his health restored. In 2014 he explain that he had vocal polyp, a small lesion on his vocal cords, and “while doctors could remove it, the outcome would be up to God”. Praise the Lord that he did because everyone that hears his amazing voice, will be blessed as he has been with his recovery.

My favorites are Your Love Awakens Me and My All in All. Both just speak to my heart every time I listen to them. And then I also really like Spirit of God..and then..well – let’s just say that I haven’t found one that I didn’t enjoy and want to sing along with while being encouraged.

I hope you will take the time to listen to this new album by Phil Wickham. I know you will be uplifted, encouraged and filled with joy as the music ministers to you.
