Build a Snowman
Getting out there with or without the kids and building Frosty can take you right back to your childhood and conjure up that Christmas morning feeling. What better way to enjoy the cold, winter season?
See a Live Version of “A Christmas Carol”
Watching this wonderful production live is like nothing else in theater and particularly so if it is done well. Look up your local options and seek them out. There are few things that can get you ready for winter and the holiday season at large.
Ride a Snowmobile
Getting on a snowmobile might seem scary at first, but there are experts out there that will assist you. The thrill of the cold air blowing by and you speeding across the open snow is something you must experience this winter.
Go Ice Fishing
Not usually for the average winter goer, ice fishing is a great time for anybody if they are brave enough to give it a shot. If you are wanting to complete a little bit more adventurous of a bucket list then this one is for you.
Take a Horse and Sleigh Ride
Dashing through the snow, in a one horse….you get the idea. Why not try this for a winter time thrill?
Give Toys to Needy Kids for Christmas
We all start the winter season intending to do something like this but it often gets lost in the mad holiday shuffle. Commit to making it happen and be sure to do it yourself. It is wonderful to help the organizations and all, but it is truly special when you do it yourself. Watching their faces is priceless and heartwarming to the core.
Have a Snowball Fight
Sometimes we need to just be a kid again. Build a fort, pick teams and then let it fire! You will have a blast and get some great exercise in the process. Prepare to laugh very very hard.
Enjoy An Eggnog By a Fire
Eggnog is really enjoyable but it is even better when sipped by a fireplace or bonfire. Take some time to do both and to really drink in the holiday spirit this winter. Here is our favorite Eggnog Recipe.
Go Skiing
Hitting the slopes is something that you simply have to do at least once. The neat thing is, once you have done it once you will continue to go back. Skiing is a blast and a wonderful way to enjoy the winter season. Every aspect of the ski trip allows for winter fun and enjoyment.
Make Snow Angels
Snow angels are kind of silly and usually reserved for the kids in the family. That is exactly why you need to commit to making a few of them this winter season. Get silly with those kids and teach them how to really make beautiful angels.
