Anyone who knows me also knows that I love my slow cooker. When most people use theirs only for parties or during the winter, I have several of mine going year round. Yes, several, as in more than one. But sometimes I need inspiration and only a slow cooker meal will do. Time to break out the 175 Essential Slow Cooker Classics!
Using Judith Finlayson’s recipes, thousands of home cooks have discovered how delicious and convenient food prepared in the slow cooker can be, and also how this handy appliance can be used to create an extraordinary range of dishes.
This full-color cookbook is now available in trade paperback with a new cover. Included are 60 new recipes, in addition to the favorites from three of her previous slow cooker cookbooks that span a wide range of meals for all occasions. These everyday favorites recipes will satisfy and delight everyone in the family.
With 100 color photographs and extensive tips and techniques, delicious results are guaranteed every time. The make-ahead instructions maximize convenience, and the vegetarian and vegan recipes are clearly identified. This will be the go-to cookbook for the creative home chef.
Alright my friends, so this slow cooker cook book is filled with recipes from main dishes to side items, party food, you name it.
Are you a vegan or vegetarian? She has you covered as well (and they aren’t just blended in but clearly marked) so don’t worry about missing out.
I like the wide range of food choices, from your standard pot roast and green beans to Thai food and some with a Caribbean flair!
The recipes are laid out cleanly and easy to read. Plus, they come with tips, suggestions such as a substitution for an ingredient and even ideas about how long to make it ahead of time or what goes well with it on the side.
The color photographs of the dishes are great and make a nice reference when you’re trying to prepare a new dish.
I’d recommend this book for those new to the crock pot/slow cooker world, as well as those of us who just want some new recipes to use in the rotation. Be sure to pick up your own copy of the 175 Essential Slow Cooker Classics book from Amazon today.
