2 Ingredient Cake

2 Ingredient Cake

aka  SODA CAKE

2 Ingredient Cake

Soda cake is a quick and easy way to make a cake. We first made this outside while camping but it is just too easy to not make when the need for a cake strikes your fancy.

Ingredients:
1 box cake mix (any flavor)
1 Can of Soda (any flavor reg or diet)

2 Ingredient Cake

Directions:
Pour cake mix in large bowl
Slowly pour in can of soda and mix well
Bake according to the cake package

2 Ingredient Cake

That’s it! Doesn't get any easier!

We found that if you reduce the soda to 1 cup the cake is more like brownies. My crew likes it this way with cool whip topping.

I was hoping this was going to be baking soda or something. We don’t consume soda.

I love making soda cake! I have a nephew who has an egg allergy, so this kind of cake is pretty much his only option. For his birthday last year, I made a blue velvet cake using blue velvet cake mix and half a bottle of Big Blue (the blue version of Big Red). He loved it and so did everyone else. Soda cake comes out really moist and yummy! It’s great 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I will have to remember this while camping. I pinned it to my camping board. Not that I won’t make this at home. I certainly will but to be able to make a cake that simple while camping well that’s a must do that the kids will love~!
