2015 Daily Planner {Review}
As both a work at home mom and a homeschool mom, schedules are so important! I’m constantly having to set up appointments, sport lessons, music recitals, as well as my blog work, conferences, and deadlines to meet! I have started using the 2015 Daily Planner by Sue Hooley and I’m really enjoying the layout and features it provides me.
The 2015 Daily Planner was designed by Sue Hooley. After several years of homemaking, she was frustrated in not finding a planner with the simplicity and flexibility she desired. Consequently, she developed this planner and has used it continuously for sixteen years. Thousands of women have benefited from her Daily Planner since it was first published in 2010.
The first great thing about this planner is the compact size. It’s not so small that I can’t write (and hope to read later) my notes, but it’s small enough to toss into my purse or laptop bag when I’m leaving the house. Plus since it’s spiral bound, I don’t have to worry about loose pages or getting it torn up.
I love the picture on the front cover, it’s so cheerful.
The planner itself is broken down into sections, and each section has a small yellow tab for easy reference. The sections included, from front to back, are as follows:
- Yearly Calendar
- Monthly Calendar
- Weekly Planning
- Tasks List
- Projects and Events
- Information
- Shopping Lists
Honestly I use the weekly planning the most and it also includes an area for tasks for that particular week. It also shows me on a small monthly calendar which week I’m working on. Plus the dates come pre-printed so I don’t have to fill them all out. Each weekly plan area also includes a new Scripture as well as a place to jot down the menu for each day.
Now, I don’t use the information section for names and addresses, but for other notes to myself that just don’t fit anywhere else. But the shopping list section is great, since I can make my list and already have it with me in my purse when I head to the store.
I definitely recommend using a pencil when you’re doing this much planning/schedule keeping because it’s always changing. If I had to write in pen, then use a remover or cross it out, I’d get so frustrated with the overall messiness of the book and just not use it. So thankfully I keep my mechanical pencil handy!
I would suggest this as a great planner, even for moms who don’t homeschool or work at home. It would be a great resource to keep up with your family’s plans, even just after school activities, doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and every day tasks.
