Of course, as with most urban legends there is a lesson to be learned. And while the lesson may be worthwhile….the story that is used to convey is just that..A STORY!
Have you ever been caught by an Urban Legend? I have and that is why I head to Snopes before I click share or leave a comment. Which ones have you been caught by?

I used to fall for them back in the late 90s, early 2000s but then my MIL got an email account and has been bombarding me with urban legends and silly prayer chains. I started researching them when the stories got just too ridiculous to believe and started sending her the links to Snopes. Now she sends me urban legends that begin or end with the line- this is true, I checked it out on Snopes.lol. No, they’re still found to be False when I go check Snopes myself and MIL will insist they are true because the email said so. Oy!

There are so many of these sites these days, that you dont know which one to use. But when one of my favorite bloggers recommends it or reviews it, I tend to lean in their favor. Thank you!

I’ve only heard of a couple of these. Some of them are quite funny and interesting. I’ve never actually fallen for any. I guess I’m just too skeptical.

I don’t know what it is- but I love urban legend stories. I also love seeing how the change over time and in different areas.

I hadn’t heard of some of those Target rumors, but urban legends can be fun as long as they are taken that way. The killer in the back seat or upstairs, or under the bed instead of your dog give you a chill because you fear it happen. That’s the thing with urban legends they play on your fears and run rampant, but they also can give fun when in movies like Urban Legends or spoofed on TV shows.

I’ll be doggone if I didn’t fall from a couple of these scams just this year. LOL! I even saw a few of these circulating and shared a few of them on facebook.
