Keeping Your Computer Safe with Norton by Symantec

Keeping Your Computer Safe with Norton by Symantec

Keeping your computer safe with Norton by Symantec

Disclosure: This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me by Coupons.com. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.

Ever go to your desk, only to find the dreaded Blue Screen of Death on your screen? I'd venture most of us would say yes. The last time it happened to me it was because a nasty virus got into my system and wrecked havoc! So after much grumbling, nashing of teeth, and panic phone calls to my tech guy, we were able to fix it; but wouldn't it have been easier to prevent it from happening in the first place?

Here's where Norton by Symantec would have been a life saver.

There's a product called Norton Internet Security that helps protect your system from those nasty bugs on the web.  Here are a few of the key features that got my attention:

  • Active protection – protects you from viruses, spam, identity theft and social media dangers.   Since my business revolves around social media, this was a key point!!
  • Automatic, silent updates – keep you one step ahead of new threats and those not yet invented.  I don't have to worry if I checked for the latest update, it's already done for me. Or on my teenagers' computer.
  • PC performance processes – restore PC horsepower, reduce startup time and boost performance.  Who doesn't need extra help in this area?
  • Deep-cleansing tools – scour and disinfect even the nastiest infections that lesser products miss.  There may be “cheaper” products but you get what you pay for in this case (and Norton by Symantec gets you a lot for your money!)

And there's a ton of other features and services that come included in this software package that I would fine useful like the 24/7 customer support, parental controls, and password storage capabilities. And since the deal for Norton by Symantec covers up to 3 PCs, I can keep my entire network safe no matter who the computer belongs to.

I wish I had been proactive with a program like this before the trouble started, but I'm sure glad I know about them going forward!

Oh, I’ve had the BSD numerous times! Usually it happens to me when I update a driver or try to use a device that is outdated. Funny how BSD can really make you panic, especially when you know your anti-virus is outdated. Yikes! Great post!

We love Norton! I use it on my work computer, and my laptop at home. I’ve had too many times that something has attacked and I’ve lost precious photos – and work! Thanks for sharing.

Oh man, the dreaded ‘Blue Screen of Death’ has stuck me once very recently actually. To say I was heartbroken and in a pure panic would be the understatement of the year 🙁

I had to replace the hard drive and a month later the motherboard went on me so I had to buy a whole new computer I really didn’t have the money for. So now I’m making payments on a credit card to pay that off!
