A Sensible Arrangement (Lone Star Brides Book #1) {Review}
*I received a complimentary copy of this book through Bethany Publishers to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.
I have read about half of Tracie’s books and consider myself a fan that looks forward to her next release. She writes in such an easy to read way and I have found her books engaging, thoughtful, and uplifting. I appreciate her ability to weave in spiritual truths throughout her story.
A Sensible Arrangement was another enjoyable book. The story is about a woman that picks up and moves to a new place to marry a stranger through a newspaper advertisement. She was widowed several years before and just wants a new life in a new place.
The groom, Jake Wythe is a banker with that is being pressed to take a wife. He places an advertisement for a bride to come be his wife as a companion to attend social obligations. His longing is to return to Texas when he is financially stable.
Although their marriage was one of convenience, fate takes over and their marriage arrangement does not go quite as planned.
This is the first book in the new Lone Star Bride series. I am looking forward to seeing how the story line continues in the next book. I did find myself waiting for the characters to develop a little more, but perhaps that is coming in the next book.
Overall, the book was a good read and I would recommend it. You can purchase this book on Amazon in paperback, hardcover or kindle formats.
