Book Testimonials:
“This book is a true blessing for filling those afternoons when you hear, I’M BORED’ or for entertaining out-of-town guests. I love the moms behind this book. They have traveled north, south, east and west to find those perfect corners or our world for us to explore. I often say, ‘They’ve done all the hard work for us.’ So grab one…and make your life a little easier!” -Tracey Johnson, Morning News Anchor, FOX19
“Laura and Terri have compiled a resource that inspires creative, memory-making outings, featuring mom- and kid-tested destinations. As a former leader of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), I have recommended Laura and Terri as speakers many times. Their travel knowledge and first-hand experiences, combined with their genuine encouragement to try new things, is a real gem to parents looking for play dates, homeschoolers looking for field trips, and families looking for weekend fun. Not only have I dog-eared this book, but I often give it as gifts to new moms and grandparents, and new families to the area, so they too can enjoy it. Three cheers for two moms & one great book!” -Rhonda Headley, retired MOPS Area Coordinator and mother of two.
My Thoughts:
My crew enjoyed looking at all the places listed in Adventures Around Cincinnati. It is a terrific book for created for parents by parents looking for places to explore in the Cincinnati area with their children. And let’s not forget Grandparents. This is what every grandparent needs when their grandchildren come to visit.
With over 120 possible places to visit all within 2 hours of Cincinnati, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Each location also includes the address, phone number, website, operating hours, admission charges, what ages would find it interesting, and even if strollers and wheel chairs rentals are available.
The book sections attractions into regions. They are also shown by region on a local map of the area so make it easy to finds things to do in a certain area.
The book even includes sample itineraries to help you get started. I really appreciated the chart listing each of the locations in alphabetical order along with the type of things are at the attraction. This makes looking up a specific activity so much easier than searching online.
My family has lived in the Cincinnati area, and I had no clue some of these awesome activities even existed. Not to mention that many of them are free to visit! We will be planning our activities and adventures starting with this book.
Note: As with any publication that includes hour and pricing, make sure to take the time to call or visit online before packing up and heading off for the day. Use this book as a starting point for your fun and activities in the Cincinnati area.

Don’t have a Kindle? Grab one for yourself. They are so nice to use for reading. I love my Kindle Fire and my little one uses the e-Reader version (just for reading without the added games and internet options).
