Battle Plan for Prayer
Do you have a planned and purposed time for praying? As Christians, we we in the scriptures that there is a battle on earth. We are instructed to pray always and to pray for others. But how to we go about setting up a battle plan for prayer?
If you saw the movie, War Room, you remember how the main character actually had a war room set up for her to use for her prayer time? While I may not have a room specifically set up just for prayers, I do take the issue of prayer seriously and have laid the ground work for my battle plan.
Developing your battle plan for prayer is important. Scriptures tell us that Satan is in control of this world and the things in it. He is battling a war against anyone that believes in Christ. Because of this, my time with God is something that I have to protect.
Developing your battle plan for prayer is not just making the decision to pray every morning before getting out of bed. It involves a well thought out plan of action. It involves commitment. And it involves your time. But doesn’t anything that is important? If it matters to you, it will involve time, talent and money. So does taking on Satan in this world.
One tool that I have been using is the book, The Battle Plan for Prayer. This book was written in the format of a true battle plan, the book is divided into seven sections: Enlistment, Basic Training, Conditioning, Strategies, Targets, Ammunition and Reinforcements. Under each of these sections, there are several chapters explaining the battle plan on the area of prayer.
Book Description:
Inspired by the Kendrick Brothers’ new movie, War Room, this exciting new resource from the number-one best-selling author team behind The Love Dare and The Resolution for Men is designed to help anyone learn how to become a powerful person of prayer.
The Battle Plan for Prayer begins with prayer’s core purpose, its biblical design, and its impact throughout history. Listeners will be guided scripturally through the fundamentals of how effective prayer works, inspired toward a closer, more intimate relationship with God, and shown how to develop specific prayer strategies for each area of life. Prayer can accomplish what a willing God can accomplish. It should be your first plan of attack in all of life’s battles, not your last resort. If you want to experience the joy of mightily answered prayer, then it’s time to engage with God at another level.
This is a great book for those that are looking to take their prayer life seriously and may not know just where or how to start. I like the helpful information and suggestions offered for different needs in our life.
The Battle Plan for Prayer is available on Amazon in kindle, paperback, and audio/CD formats.
Don’t have a Kindle? Grab one for yourself. They are so nice to use for reading. I love my Kindle Fire and my little one uses the e-Reader version (just for reading without the added games and internet options).
