Bellemain Micro-Perforated Stainless Steel 5-Quart Colander
As far as colanders go, I have six in various sizes. This one is my first stainless steel one and I have to say that I like it.
Of course not losing food through the ribs or holes is a benefit, but the best thing for me is the easy clean up. The mesh is small enough that food doesn’t get stuck in it making clean up a challenge. Toss this colander in the dishwasher and it is ready for the next use.
One thing that I do like about this product is that I can steam food in it by setting it on top of a pot of simmering water. The steam cooks the food but the colander keeps it out of the water. We steamed fish last night and it was awesome!
