Blue Tea Kettle and Cups Mosaic {Review}
I am always amazed at the beautiful art that can be created with tiny little pieces. Oh the talent that some people have for being able to visualize and create. This is not my talent. I can barely paint the by the number murals.
Everyone knows that we get a tons of packages. So many that our mail, UPS and Fedex guys know us so well they speak to us when we run into them at the mall or the theaters. I have to laugh when they stop us and ask about a package they delivered earlier in the week wondering what was in it.
That was the case with this package. Not only was is coming from overseas; it was heavy, obviously very securely wrapped and it required a signature! While I find my postal carriers interest funny, I do think the care taken to make sure that the item arrived safely speaks well for the Mozaico Living Mosaics Company.
This tea kettle and cups mosaic tiles shines with the beautiful shades of blue against shades of brown. The detail in the objects is wonderful, making it look as though they are lifelike. It is a quaint example of artwork that will fit into nearly any kitchen. The hand cut tiles are something that is not all that common in most artwork, so you will have a piece that is very unique to hang up and admire.
This mural is a handmade mosaic piece made of tiny marble pieces. It is secured on mesh backing which adds stability and allows for immediate installation.
Of course having a coffee or tea theme fits right in my kitchen! I am still trying to decide how I want to use this product. It would be a sweet insert in my kitchen backsplash. So until I decide if I will frame it and make it the focal point of my kitchen or keep until we replace the cabinets and tile; I am using it as a trivet on my table. It’s the perfect size to hold a casserole dish.
Wondering what you would do with a mosaic like this? Here is a little video on how to mount and hang it.
