Built to Amaze Ringling Bros Circus {Review}
Do you remember going to the circus when you were a kid? I do. And I’ll be honest, I still love going to the circus, even as an adult with my own child! This year’s Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus “Built to Amaze” was no different!
We took my son and nephew to this year’s performance and were not disappointed! My son is almost five and he loved the more “dangerous” acts like the Steel Vortex and the tiger act. My nephew is a year and a half and he LOVED the act with the dancing poodles and the elephants. Here’s a few of our pictures and details of our favorite acts to show you how awesome our night was!
Stars of the Steel Vortex
The Stars of the Steel Vortex will amaze Children Of All Ages as they perform unfathomable stunts that defy the forces of gravity! The 46-foot apparatus is rotated by the performers own power to speeds of more than 15 mpg by walking inside and outside of the wheel.
Trampoline Tower Tumblers
Making their American debut, the Tower Tumblers is an act comprised of professionally trained, champion athletes hailing from sport universities throughout the Ukraine with disciplines in gymnastics, fast-track and trampoline.
Tabayara “Taba” Maluenda
The world’s most charismatic animal trainer, Tabayara Maluenda, mesmerizes Children Of All Ages with his energy and passion during Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® PresentsBuilt To Amaze! Taba’s catch phrase, “Azúcar!” – meaning “sugar” or “sweet” – is a crowd favorite, and illustrates his remarkable ability to communicate and bond with horses, tigers and Asian elephants, alike. It’s a mutual admiration felt in every performance.
One of the best parts for myself was being invited by Feld Entertainment to a pre-show gathering where we were able to meet and speak with a few of the performers who are also moms. They answered our questions about traveling with their families on the road and what their schedules look like when they are on the road for most of the year. They spoke very highly about their employer and the benefits they are given, especially since they all had young school age children on the road with them.
Needless to say, we loved the “Built to Amaze” show by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey put on for Cincinnati. We are already talking about going again the next time they come to town! Check them out on Facebook to get the latest tour information!
