Camping Essentials
Over the course of the next few weeks we will be packing up or camping gear and heading out to several of the state parks in Ohio and Kentucky. As we gather and prepare, we will be adding items to this list of Camping Essentials.
This list will grow as we make our choices for what we will be taking on our trip to the woods.
Our first item up is a Camping Stove.
This Outdoor Camping Stove is lightweight but can cook a meal in no time. We have a month of emergency food packages that we will be cooking on this stove. The Camping Stove by Petforu is available on Amazon and includes free shipping on prime accounts.
Next item we added to our summer camping essentials was the Extreme Pack Dry Bag.
This is the Extreme Pack Dry Bag. We put this bag through its paces. I can say that this backpack really does keep your items dry.
This backpack is designed to be 100% waterproof and keep your belongings 100% dry. Great for hiking, kayaking, boating, canoeing, skiing, cycling, and any other activity you can imagine. This bag can even be used for swimming! Keep your camera, phone, extra clothing, etc. dry, even if you get wet.
Of course no one wants to be in the woods or at the lake without their tunes so we can’t leave home without our SoundFit Plus Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker.
My favorite thing about this speaker is that I can leave my phone safely tucked away and still be able to answer calls.
Other features include a heavy duty carry strap, a post style speaker mounting system, and a super long lasting rechargeable battery. Oh, did I mention that it is waterproof too! Awesome for my crew because we have had our share of devices bite the dust when around water.
Set up and pairing was super easy. YES I said it was easy! If you know me, you know that if user error is a possible factor for something not working.. that is why it doesn’t work when I try to set it up. Not so with this little speaker.
So my bluetooth speaker is all ready to go, what will we be adding to our Summer Camping Essentials list next?
Our latest addition to our camping essential gear is a motion sensor light.
This light is great for those things that go bump in the night. It has three settings depending on your needs.
Settings:
1 – Bright light that stays on once something triggers it with movement
2 – Dim light that becomes brighter as it picks up movement and then dims again when movement is no longer triggering
3 – Bright light that turns on when it picks up movement and then shuts off after 15 seconds once movement stops
I like that it is waterproof and solar powered. It can be mounted or hung anywhere as long as it is exposed to direct sunlight. In order make sure it gets enough of a charge, place the flat black panel towards the sun. You can easily zip tie this in place or set it on your dash board while traveling to your camping destination.
This battery light would also be great to use around your property to light up those dark areas where you don’t need constant lighting such as around your garden.
Grab one or more of these motion sensor solar powered lights to use on your next camping trip.
Check back tomorrow to see what the next Camping Essential item will be that this girl needs before she heads to the woods.
